This option is unique to each folder. So if you configure the folders that you primarily use ahead of time, the settings should travel to the finder window that gets opened by Facebook when you want to attach photos.

Drag your photo to the desktop is pretty easy.
Photos in the Photo app are larger and expandable.
I always find it easier to drag to the desktop first, no matter— for ease of uploading.
I don't think that's the problem Mtbgrove has, it sounds more like the same issue that I have; the size of the window, not the size of the photos in that window.
In Facebook on Safari when you click Photo/Video to add photos, in Catalina a decent sized Finder window dropped down from tabs bar with a selection of folders/photos visible.
In Big Sur, which I downloaded last night, a much smaller window, with not even one 200x200 photo visible opens in the centre of the screen. I now have to drag the corner of that window each time to view a selection of photos to choose from. It's a small problem, but it's annoying when you are uploading photos several times a day.
