Iphone 12 pro max oversharpening

Hello,

today I bought myself the newest Iphone and was really looking forward to use the camera. I must say I am kind of disappointed, photos look over sharpened and pushed. I am a photographer for my profession and this really feels a step backwards. It gives a more digital look on the photos, it looks less photogenic and more from the early ages of digital photography. Before the Iphone 12 I had the 7 plus, not sure which camera I like more.

did also a comparison with the camera of my boyfriend’s Iphone 11 and his photos don’t have the over-sharpening effect.

I’m not happy at all. Is there any way to solve this?? Otherwise I might change it for a iphone 11 :(
