Iphone X frozen

My iphone x is frozen, kind of. I can swipe down and talk to siri, but can't close the app I was in. My phone is not responding to a force restart. Any suggestions?

my iphone froze but i cannot hard restart it my iphone froze at the control centre screen and i cannot perform a hard reset. the phone is still responsive to screenshots and switching silent mode on/off. if i hold down my side button, i can see that siri still appears because the background colour changes.

What happens when you try a force restart? See this to ensure you are using the correct directions for a force restart. If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't turn on or is frozen - Apple Support
