My music defaults to the clean version on my phone.

This only occurs on my iPhone 11 pro. I have browsed other answers on here and none of them are helpful. No, I don’t have any restrictions enabled. The only time I can get to the explicit version of a song is if it doesn’t have a clean version or if I have it in my library already. I cannot display lyrics of the explicit version either. Like I said, there are no restrictions. I am on the latest firmware.

Hi jarrett265,

Thanks for the reply. If the issue is only happening on your iPhone, it may help to delete and then reinstall the Music app. Keep in mind that you'll need to re-download any songs for offline play after you reinstall the app. Here's how to Delete built-in Apple apps on your iOS 12, iOS 13, or iPadOS device or Apple Watch. Once you've reinstalled it, make sure you're signed in and Turn on Sync Library with Apple Music and let us know if that helped.

Best wishes.

Hi jarrett265,

We know it's important to be able to play the content you expect in Apple Music. We see you're only able to play explicit versions of songs if there are no clean versions, or if you already have the song in your library. Knowing that you've already checked your restrictions is helpful.

Which iOS version are you using?

Do you use Apple Music on any other devices? If so, test it out there; does that work?

Also, do you get the same result when both streaming and when downloading songs?

Let us know!

Cheers.
