Apple Music subscription

I’ve tried getting help from Apple support for this but no matter what option I select in he Apple Support app, I keep getting directed to iTunes Billing Support - who are of no help with his.

A couple of days ago I signed up to the free trial for Apple Music on my iPhone. It worked fine on my iPhone and later in the day I wanted to use the service in my AppleTV - however it did not work. I could not play songs or add them to my library.

This morning I had the AppleTV in plugged. When I powered it back up I could then use Apple Music on the TV - however all my purchased music (apart from one music video that I partly played the day before) is gone from my library on AppleTV (still on the iPhone).

If I search for a music track that I know I have purchased it will show up under the Library search - however it doesn’t display in the library itself.

Anybody got a solution for this?

Also, does signing up to Apple Music mean that when I next connect my computer to the internet that all the custom metadata on my Music tracks will be overwritten?

Cheers.

Hello NeddySeagoon,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

We understand from your post that you want to view your purchased music on your Apple TV but it doesn't show up in the library unless you search for it. This article will provide you with the necessary steps to view and play your music on your Apple TV:

Library: Browse and play your music on Apple TV - Apple Support

We highly recommend creating a backup for your music library before joining Apple Music. This article has additional information about creating a backup file which you may find useful:

Join Apple Music on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC - Apple Support

"Apple Music isn't a back up service. Make sure to back up your iPhone, iPad, iPod touchMac, or PC, so that you have a copy of your music and other information if your device is ever replaced, lost, or damaged."

Best Regards.
