Headphone safety

I have an iPhone 8 Plus and with the 14.2 iOS platform. While using a blue tooth speaker I get a headphone safety alert every 10 minutes and it drops the volume down to 25%. I work outside and use the phone/speaker all day long but lately I want to toss the phone in the trash. My wife has a 12 pro max that does not do this, but my phone recently had a factory reset when I took over my wife’s old 8 plus. If I thought replacing the phone would be the fix I would but is 14.3 going to make all phones like mine. This feature is so ridiculous I am strongly considering Android if they can’t fix this.
