Hi,
Can you tell if deleting an app with an active subscription that was originally purchased using apple's in app purchase, cancels the subscription and future billings?

It most definitely does not. You must take the step to cancel the subscription, or else you will keep being charged even after you delete the app. Follow the steps in here:
