I accidentially created an account during a password recovery process (dont ask me how and why) but that account is now connected with iCloud and it no longer exists)

joda, not the problem this is ...

the account is already deleted, and after deletion i got the secret code (all fine, well done apple)

the problem is: on the laptop i connected iCloud with this deleted account when it was not deleted (should have removed before deleting the account but i did not, (the dark side of the apple hide that from me) now iCloud on my computer is connected to a deleted account and this puts me in a check mate situation because it asks for a password of an account that no longer is active when i try to detach the deleted account.

i guess i will have to call apple support either way

thanks any way

hi thanks, yes this is what apple and star wars universe keeps repeating, i got it, i made the mistake, got that too, the question is, why cant i detach from i cloud if the stuff does not exist any way, the only option i would expect is, detach and delete local data done. strict, secure and simple.

but osx icloud settings are not aware of such a situation, it does not let you detach, this to me is more a design flaw.

so how can i force detach from i cloud ...

There shouldn't be anything "attached"

You haven't said what you have tried. Sign out of iCloud? Sign out of iCloud, reboot? At some point, iCloud should get "no answer" for the account you deleted and stop showing it.

fair enough,

1) deleted the account

2) realized in a second step i was still connected to iCloud

3) tried to sign out

4) it asked for a password of the deleted account which is no longer available

5) tried that a few times with no success

6) deactivated iCloud, still asking for passwords (mainly because find my mac is still also connected)

6) rebooted, account still connected

7) contacted support, no success so far ..

i wonder why i get a super secret identification number on deletiong of the account if its not to identify myself ... seems useless

does that make sense?
