The T7 is a USB 3.2 Gen 2 device that ships with USB-C <-> USB-C, and USB-C <-> USB-A cables. Neither of these specs are compatible with a Thunderbolt 2 adapter. It can be connected to the USB3 ports on the 2014 iMac by using the USB-C <-> USB3.2-A cable. However…


Many have reported in the support communities that they have had issues using this drive with macOS, and it does come with software, and default formatting — which may not be compatible with macOS.
