Is there a way to change my IP address for my iMac using a cable modem? any help would be most greatful.

What, exactly, are you trying to accomplish?
when you connect to the internet you're not really using your imacs ip address you're assinged to one in the range of the top level ip addresses your isp have access to, you can give your imac a static ip or you can renew it from your routers dhcp Renew your IP address from the DHCP server on Mac - Apple Support
but that ip address will only have any meaning on your LAN (local area network) not on the internet
if you wish to alter your ip on the internet then you need to contact your isp some charge you for being allowed to have a fixed ip online.
I am trying to get a new isp address getting to much spam all of sudden cause my internet company took of norobo spam calls on the phone and since then been getting spam on home phone and crazy email as well. That is why I want to change my isp address.
Well it started once they took off norobo. I tried to call them they said in January we will have a new spam for landline phone. But thought why cannot I not just change isp they told me no. So I wanted to know if any experts on here can help me with my iMac changing the isp.
It did not work any other help would be appreciated. same isp address.

None of that has anything to do with your IP address.
Sorry. That's not going to solve your problem with spam or junk calls.

Changing IP address on my cable modem on my iMac. I really not sure if this could be done on a cable company modem on my iMac?
