Severe apologies if you thought I was "rude" to you. I was expecting more of a direct answer to a direct question from a level ten user. It is ok to say you don't know how to change Siri's Artificial Intelligence response. I provided my feedback to Apple's engineer team. Please accept my thanks for responding anyway.

Some people have reported that charing to a different voice (one of the Irish ones?) makes a difference.

But there's a very simple way to avoid hearing that. When you ask something, don't leave a pause between "Hey, Siri...." and whoever you're asking. Just say the whole thing at once: "Hey, Siri, what time is it in Ulan Bator?" You'll only hear that um hum if you pause.

Sorry, you are wrong. You didn't actually answer the question. Pasting from Google doesn't help either.

In what way am I wrong? You can't really change the way Siri works. Some people on these forums have reported that other nationalities don't do this. I can't confirm that other than to say the British Male voice says "um hm" if you leave a pause.

How was I wrong in telling you how to avoid hearing the "um hm". Have you tried my suggestions?

How was I wrong to give you the link to the feedback page so you can tell Apple what you think?

And why do you think it's acceptable to be rude to a fellow user who is volunteering their time to help you?

You already had an answer (no it's not possible) from Apple. I didn't think it was necessary to re-iterate that. What I provided was additional information.
