How can you open password protected files without password

As a rule, you don't. That's why they were password protected in the first place, so someone without the password can't access them..
There has to be a way to remove the password
These documents have history
What kind of documents are they? What application are you trying to use to open them?
The fact that the documents "have history" won't change anything.
Not if whatever was used to encrypt them was worth its weight in electrons...
What are they? The 'encryption' used by some applications is pretty worthless and simple to break...
Desperately need to access files that are password protected but I forgot the password. Please help
