Carrier verified phone number checkmark

Last year, 02 December 2019, a report of inability to place calls to (either of two) carrier verified check marked numbers was made here. It apparently still remains unanswered. Possible logic bug in anti-spam-call ID checking code? Please address this issue. Thanks!

Merry Christmas! Best, Bob.

Apple does no such call verification.

The only call filtering Apple has is the Silence Unknown Callers option in Settings>Phone.

If you were/are using some kind of caller verification or filtering system, contact whoever you get that service from.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

Of course, we know that Apple is not doing this; it is being done by cellular carriers, to help diminish spam and fraudulent ID number (mobile) calls.

However, it does affect Apple iPhone (and other mobile phone) users. Because Apple has intimate ties to at least some carriers, and because its iOS designs hopefully should properly interface with all of them, I remain optimistic that this issue can be analyzed, understood, and corrected. I first observed it yesterday, on 02 December 2020 on my new iPhone SE, iOS 14.2, with a caller ID at her number, who is also using a relatively new iPhone. The iOS of the latter is not yet known to me. Thanks again. Best, Bob.
