I have three different group texting apps on my iphone. I have a group of about 70 people that I need to text once in a while. I can't get any of them to send out a text period. At first, I had it as a group of 70, and it worked for a while. Now, I have even broken it down to groups of 20 or less. Neither of the three will let me send a group text period. What am I doing wrong? It is driving me crazy!!!

You haven't updated your iOS before this occurred? Do you know if the apps have been updated for newer iOS than you have on the iPhone?

To the best of my knowledge, the iPhone has no settings that would affect that.
To the best of my knowledge, any restrictions Apple has in place on the iPhone on the number of people you can text in a group would only apply to Messages. If Apple has a policy that third party apps can't exceed a certain number of recipients, then developers would have to abide by that. There would be nothing you or they would be able to do to change that. But, that doesn't sound like it's the case based on what you're saying.
I know that originally, group text sizes were restricted to 10 max, and that was something Apple did at the request of cellular providers. As things progressed, Apple introduced iMessage to get around the costs of text messages that providers were charging. Then some apps were released that allowed for group texting to more than 10 users. I'm not sure if the original 10 to a group is still part of SMS restrictions, but those mixed messages with iOS and non-iOS devices are still SMS/MMS, and those are controlled by the cellular providers. I'm not sure the app developer is being honest about all of that.
You'll need to contact the developers of those unnamed apps for assistance.

What did the app developer say when you contacted them?
They let on like the problem was Apple. The put stipulation on group size. The app is saying that about Apple.
I thought that they did. Another quick question along the same lines. If the app says you can send to an unlimited amount of people in a group text, does Apple put a stipulation on how many you can text to?
I tried turning off iMessage. Then, I turned off MMS messages. Then, I turned off Group Messages. I turned it all back on. I turned my phone off and back on. I have tried everything under the sun. I paid for one of the apps. It is really getting frustrating!!!
That is up to you. You do what it is that you feel you need to do. Some app developers are not the greatest at providing support for their apps, it is much easier for them to blame problems on Apple and ignore you.

At this point, if I can’t send the messages that I need to send, I feel like deleting every group text app and never downloading another one. That is very frustrating to me!!!
It was working fine. I don’t understand what changed.
I know for sure that I have the latest iOS update, but I’m not sure about the apps themselves.
