Reset statistics

You can't mess anything up with that setting - all it does is zero the data counters. You then know how much data you have used since the date you last reset it.

Are you referring to the setting in Cellular? That would reset the statistics in that section of Settings, such as Call Time, data used in listed apps, as well as total cellular data listed since the last time it was reset.

You can reset it if you wish. Some people use it to check up on their carriers that charge their data. Reset it when your billing ends, then check it again at the end of the next billing cycle. It has no affect on the phone whatsoever. It is a personal preference thing.
