I just got an email from T-Mobile that my IMSI has been changed.
I used to have T-Mobile for cellular on my iPad Pro, but discontinued cellular service and have just used WiFi for several months? When trying to find an answer through Google, it looks like this could be something nefarious. Should I be concerned?

Most likely SCAM. Suppose to get help from your children’s school IT department for help. But I advise you change all your personal passwords just in case.
Should add that just hours before this email, our children’s school said the students’ Google accounts have been hacked (they “attend” school via Chromebooks) and codes to enter the virtual classrooms had been “compromised” and distributed. Not sure if these are related at all, but since it occurred just a few hours after, thought I’d mention it just in case.
Just going to give the iPad a good smash up with a hammer since Apple, TMobile and everyone else I have asked doesn't have an answer. Hate to smash a $850 device but better safe than sorry!
