Big Sur: error connecting to Apple ID server, Mail/Music/TV apps not working

Since upgrading my MacBookPro to Big Sur, I can't connect to the Apple ID server. Possibly related, I can't stream music or movies in the Music / TV apps, the Mail app does not receive or send messages, and Safari slowed down to a crawl. Chrome works just fine.

I tried logging out of Apple ID, but logging out requires connecting to the server, so I can't!

I can connect to my Apple ID account online, and I removed the affected MBP, but this did not solve the issue. All my other devices work properly, it is only the MBP running Big Sur that has the problem.

Any suggestions? Or should I just wait for a patch sometime next year?

MacBook Pro 2017

Version 11.0.1

2,9 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7

16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3

Thanks!
