Iphone 12. Apple Pay is not working properly

Iphone 12 mini. iOs 14.2.1

The problem with Apple Pay is that I can pay with my phone ONCE. Then it stops working. Adding cards for new ones, restarting and resetting the phone or restoring from a backup does not help. Tylo restore the phone all over again (fresh). But again, it only works once. Software or hardware problem?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities! It looks like no one has responded to your question. Here are a couple things that might help others provide you with an answer:

Does the problem happen when you're trying to use Apple Pay in a store, or on a website?
When the payment doesn't go through, do you see an error message and if so, what exactly does it say?
