I BOUGHT A STOLEN IPAD

I bought a second hand stolen iPad air unknowingly. I got to know that it was a stolen iPad after I updated the software and an information popped up that it was stolen and the owner has used find my iPhone to track it. I have contacted the number of the owner but I can't reach the person. The person I bought this iPad from has stopped working because of COVID. I'm in Ghana and we have no tracking system so I have not been able to contact the guy who sold it to me. Please help me.
