Ok simple question as Im a little confused here. I have a MB Air Dual Core Intel Core i7 and a Mac Mini Quad Core Intel Core i7.
I have Big Sur on my MB Air yet it seems that I cannot install Big Sur on my Mac Mini and i don't understand why not ? As I would think that the Quad Core is better than the Dual Core !
Any ideas here please

You need a 2014 or later Mac mini.

Thanks for the quick reply but why a 2014 model, do you know what the difference is between a 2012 & a 2014 model ?

Apple doesn't release the technical criteria on why one and not the other. So no, I don't know. Certainly it's some hardware/firmware difference.
Ok thanks for that, its just strange that my Mini is a better spec' than my MB Air ( both Intel Core i7's ).
Bummer really but it is what it is :-(
