MedAvenue,

Are you able to call your own phone number and listen to your voicemails? If so, you can listen to your voicemails. To help resolve the issue with your iPhone Phone app not allowing you to listen to your voicemails, if you haven't already, quit the Phone app and restart your iPhone as described below:

Thanks for your response. I didn't have this problem until I updated to 11.0.1. The phone app shows that I have two VM messages, which is correct. Tapping through to VM, I can see my two messages, one of which was transcribed, so I can read it. The other states "unable to transcribe this message. I can tap to read VM, but cannot listen, even by lifting the phone to my ear. After reading the VM, the banner showing "2" remains. The only way I can get the banner to disappear is to delete the message, which I don't always want to do. I have no other issues with this phone. Any suggestions? Will there be an update to correct this problem? Thank you!

Hello MedAvenue,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

We understand from your post that you cannot listen to your voicemails. What happens when you try to listen to your voicemails? Do you receive an error message? If so, what is the exact error message? If you are using the steps from this article to check your voicemail what happens?
