ipod is disabled

sixth generation ipod

It became disabled for some reason after putting in the correct passcode. Anyway, i have tried updating the device through i tunes, now I get the same " ipod is disabled connect to Itunes" message.

It will not connect to my itunes now and i have tried resetting it a bunch of times?

ANy suggestions ?
