If I have someone as an emergency contact but want to block them, will I still be able to get any emergency call form them?

If I have someone on my emergency contact, will I still be able to get emergency calls if I block them on my contact list??

Blocking will block incoming calls. Your emergency contact should still recieve your emergency notifications, but they won't be able to call you back.

If it is the other way round, and you are one of their emergency contacts, then blocking them will stop the emergency alerts coming through.

My thought on this would be that if you block someone they are blocked.

Your iPhone doesn't know whether an incoming call is an emergency. I think you should still be able to call a blocked number..

Or maybe the better question would be.. why do you want to have an emergency contact that you are going to block?? Maybe find another person to be your emergency contact.
