Latest available OS upgrade for my old MacBook Pro

I have 13" MacBook Pro Early 2011 model running Sierra. What is the latest MacOS I can install? I was told at Apple Store that I can upgrade to a later version than the officially announced one by forcing it (whatever that means). They really didn't help and left me in the dark.

Any information will be much appreciated.
