The recommendations are going to be to repeat that procedure (or this one: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT209581)


I would try it a few times. If it refuses to pair and play properly, you may need to follow the final step in the article I noted in parentheses, which is to contact Apple Support. I had to replace one of my AirPods Pro due to it not syncing with the other appropriately.
