I welcome suggestions about an ergonomic mouse to use with Big Sur
Please do NOT suggest Logitech; I have purchased two of their well reputed mice and they do Not scroll with Big Sur ( and Logitech pretends there is no problem)
Will welcome your experience with specialized mice that work with Big Sur .Sadly, Apple is not making any such mice.. Wish Apple would because then it would function well
I know this is a late reply but for my wrist pain issue, I requested work purchase a mouse from Evoluent and liked it so much I purchased one for my wife as well. the mouse actually sits sideways and your hand muscle sits on the desk instead of your wrist.
I don't have arthritis so I can't say if it would work for you but it worked very well for relieving pressure on our wrist.
There is no general recommendation possible as it would need to be a very personalized choice.
Where is the arthritis?
What hurts and what doesn't when using a mouse?
What feels best?
These are questions no one but you can answer.
I have arthritis and I cannot handle any two button or scrolling mouse. The only thing that works for me is a one button mouse which are difficult to find.
There are probably hundreds of mice and an equal number of opinions. It is difficult for us to recommend the "best" of anything since what we/I feel is the "best" may be totally unacceptable to you. For example, I would have recommended a Logitech mouse.

A Couple of Ideas:
Based on personal experience: Logitech makes plenty of ergonomic mice. If anything questionable comes to mind here, it would be Mac compatibility that gets in the way.
I would most certainly contact your Medical Professional about how to go about this, seeing what they recommend. These are user-to-user forums; nothing anyone here would have any call in.
FWIW, I have no specific recommendations other than find a Mac compatible wired mouse. They would be less likely to have firmware or driver issues.

I love the wireless mice but you are probably correct; bluetooth or the USB dongles add another level which can cause use problems

Have you spoken with a physiotherapist for their recommendations. Maybe they know of a heated mouse that would soothe the arthritis too.
