Updating to Mac OS Catalina

I owned Macbook Pro which is 13 inches 2012 mid with no retina display and i’m still using Mac OS 10.10 (Yosemite) and i just wanna update to Mac OS Catalina (10.15.7) so i have a question that can i update mac os directly to catalina?

is it compatible?

Can i update directly or update to the os which between yosemite and catalina because what i found in update is requested to update 10.10.5.

your advice is highly appreciated and thank you
