Do you think it is possible that there will ever be the potential to have widgets which will be able to be placed and moved across different screens on iPadOS 14 - rather than just having them on the home screen. This is not a question, just a space for discussion - please post your views.

Confining discussion to what is both known and factual - whilst closely related, iOS14 and iPadOS14 have differing feature sets.
Widgets can be freely placed across iOS Home Screens - whereas Widgets in iPadOS are confined to the Today View accessed (or pinned) to the first Home Screen.
Apple do welcome and encourage constructive comment and feature requests via their product feedback pages. For iPad:

I’ve no strong views with regard to implementation of Widgets in iOS/iPadOS.
Whilst I do make use of them - and concede that Widgets perhaps offer some interesting auxiliary utility - they are not a significant feature for which I personally have any particular views.
Well, I have strong view about Widgets.
i have very minimal use for widgets and even shortcuts.
I do not want the iPhone version of widgets where ugly, different sized widgets get strewn about and intermingled on all of my iPad home screens and in between all of my app and folder icons.

This would make for an ugly mess of iPadOS.
I would like the widgets screen/page, in iPadOS, to perhaps stay with every home page, instead.
I already submitted feedback about my idea some weeks, ago.
Having just the Widgets screen view on just the first Home screen page can be inconvenient to have to return to all the time.
Anything is possible, however, Apple do not publish their product development roadmap.
The Terms of Use that govern participation within these Support Communities prohibits speculation.
