Big Sur created contact duplicates
After upgrading to iMac to Big Sur, all my contacts are duplicated in iCloud so on all devices! Is there a fix?

thanks - this worked. In my case, it was only local contacts and syncing with Google as my primary account on my Apple devices. My iMessage is still showing numbers without names though (despite them being in my Contacts)
