My MagSafe duo charger will charge either an iPhone or a watch, but not both at the same time. I'm connected to a 29 watt Apple charge brick and charge speed is adequate on the one device that is charging. Has anyone else seen this behavior and is there a fix?

If you look near the bottom of that first section it states “The Apple 29W USB-C Power Adapter isn't compatible with the MagSafe Duo Charger.”

Some older chargers don't provide full power to MagSafe. This 30 watt charger is recommended on the MagSafe Duo page.

See Reddit thread regarding this issue. It's definitely not an isolated problem and is an issue with the 29W adapter. Other chargers seem to work.

– 27W or higher USB-C Power Adapter (sold separately) for faster wireless charging up to 14W
It says nothing about not being able to charge both devices simultaneously.
The 29 watt charger is 2 years old and shipped with the iPad Pro. I doubt that it’s too old with the recommended charger being 20 watts.
