iPhone with iOS 14 and Bluetooth mouse

This may be a continuation of the discussion re. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251909727

I am having a similar issue.

I am trying to connect an Apple Magic Mouse 2 to my iPhone 8 Plus, using Bluetooth. I can connect a Bluetooth speaker and headsets to the iPhone. No problem. I can connect a wired mouse with the USB adapter and move a cursor on the screen. No problem.

The Magic Mouse is working, because I see the device appear on my Mac and iPad Pro, when I turn it on. But it does not appear on the iPhone.

i have also tried a Kensington mouse and an Apple track pad. They do not appear on the iPhone.

The Magic Mouse and other devices were successfully added to the iPhone in iOS 13. Yet now, in iOS 14, it is no longer supported.

Is anyone else having the same issue?

Will Apple correct this deficiency?
