3 Monitors: I want applications to open in the selected monitor. NOT primary monitor.

I've got a 3 monitor setup and the dock appears on each screen when I select a monitor and hover the mouse at the bottom of the screen. However, whenever I open an application like Chrome browser, it always opens up on my mac monitor and not the monitor selected.

I have gone through mission control and I only have "displays have separate spaces" selected. I am on OS Catalina 10.15.5. I don't plan to upgrade to Big Sur any time soon.

How do I set it up so when I go to an extended monitor and open an application, the application will open on the selected monitor and not my mac? It's really annoying grabbing each application to which monitor I want it on.

Hello, yevinsouza!

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities! We understand you're trying to open apps on a certain monitor, but it's opening on your Mac instead. We want to help!

To verify, you have selected the options and assigned the app to a specific space or display, correct? This article has that info:

Also please try toggling your display options since noticing this? If not, use the following support article for guidance:
