Landscape photo

How can I take a landscape photo with iPhone 12. Even with phone held in landscape position it takes portrait. Tappin on photo and turning the phone sideways still leaves it portrait

We understand that you are unable to view your pictures in landscape mode. We’d be glad to assist.

To confirm, are you able to rotate your iPhone and use other apps like Safari or Messages in landscape mode on your iPhone? If not, check if Portrait Orientation Lock is enabled.

If Portrait Orientation lock is off and this issue continues, can you let us know which version of iOS your iPhone is running?
