I lost my remote and need to use my phone to control Apple TV. What do I do??

Identify your Apple TV model - Apple Support

If you are using your Apple TV in 2020, then it is probably not 1st generation.

You can purchase a replacement remote.
The replacement remote will have to be linked to the Apple TV box.
