Perhaps this is a Faulty Device?:

Its getting toward the end of the year. If it has been less than a year since you purchased this, note that you have a one year limited warranty from the Manufacturer: Apple

Why Risk a Dead Mac?:

Have Apple look into this. Start by contacting Apple***, and request that a Genius Bar Appointment be Reserved. You would take this to your Local Apple Store, during which the battery and all other necessities would be looked at.

Check Activity Monitor to see what is using up a large part of available resources. Maybe it’s a rogue app that needs to be shut down. In my case it has been something that requires the use of the graphics card.
