Slow startup of iTunes on Windows OS
No replies to the original post and there doesn't seem to be many specific solutions out there for the issue where iTunes is slow to start on Win10. For me this resolved the issue. I download the iTunes exe and used 7zip to extract the Bonjour service msi. Installed the bonjour and once again have an instance of iTunes that starts in a few seconds (note library is hosted on a NAS drive).
Only because I've yet to see any meaningful response to what appears to be a common issue for various people having slow startup of iTunes on Windows OS machines, I offer the following possibility as a solution. There is a "service", named Bonjour Service, that may not be automatically configure to start/run on your machine, if it is not running, try starting it via the "Services" app under Windows, and subsequently try to start iTunes, to see if starts faster. iTunes seems to have a strong dependency on this "service", so it may help some people have been performance.
