Mac Mini: Stuck in resolution mismatch mode.

I recently tried changing the resolution on my Mac Mini with a Sanyo TV I have been using as a monitor for months. I got a resolution mismatch/“This TV is not supported” error that I can’t correct. I connected to a different monitor and returned to the original resolution, but I’m still getting the error. Help. I have a paper due.

Mac mini, macOS 10.14

Reset the NVRAM, as per > https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063

If that doesn't fix it,

  1. Try a different HDMI cable.
  2. Try changing the aspect ratio in the TV's menu.
