iphone 12 pro max keyboard is slow

I just got my iphone 12 pro max and the keyboard is not as responsive as my old iphone 7 plus phone. if i type as im used to with my old iphone, the iphone 12 does not capture it.... like if it type "fast faster fastest"..... iphone 12 will not capture all the letters and will look like "fat fster faset" something like that sometimes the space bar doesnt capture the space also. .... some letters will be missed out and i end up doing a lot of backspace! i tried to reset keyboard and the phone twice already and it didnt help. and i tried to google and do the other advice like disable facetime and imessenger then reboot the phone and all these.... but nothing seems to work... the keyboard is still not as responsive as my old iphone..... is this only a problem in the specific phone that was sent to me? anyone else having this issue?
