THE INSTALLA INFORMATION TO RECOVERY SERVER IS DAMAGED

My MacBook Air is stuck. Tried to format my MacBook from internet recover but I get an error message “THE INSTALLA INFORMATION TO RECOVERY SERVER IS DAMAGED”

I have corrected my date and time and even back dated it but didn’t help.

I tried upgrading to BIG SUR but keep failing with 10minutes remaining. Any help will be appreciated.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.15

From what you describe, I think the problem is that your downloaded installer has gotten damaged. Therefore it can't load. I suggest putting that download file in the trash, empty it and then do a fresh download. Be sure you have a wired Ethernet connection to your modem/router and do not use Wi-Fi. It often causes corruption to the file and then it either does not load, or if it does, you will experience problems.
