No longer have access to an iPhone that was stolen. How can I turn off imessaging on that phone?

No longer have access to an iPhone that was stolen. How can I turn off imessaging on that phone? It was stolen and I think it is being used somehow. Sprint has as lost/stolen but we think they messed up.
