My iMacs fan came on very loud so I thought i would restart it now it wont turn back on at all, I've tried holding down the power button, unplugging the system but to no luck
Has my Mac final died or can i get it back up

Depends. Could be the computer is overheating and/or a sensor went bad. What I would do is take it to your local Apple Authorized Repair shop. Some will do a diagnostic for free. Apple will do this for free. All you are out of is your time.

Rang a authorised apple repairer he said parts would not be cheap as it’s a older machine so probably not worth it
How old is it, if it's older than 2014 or so, nope just replace it.
