Transferred new Iphone 12 Pro, can't send any messages or make any calls.

I just transferred my iPhone X over to my new iPhone 12 pro. Everything was transferred over, but my phone number is saying "verifying" in the settings. It won't let me make any phone calls or messages from my iPhone.

Did you move the SIM card from the old to the new?

i am setting up my new iphone. I activated the phone and transferred the info from the previous iphone.
