Was running fine. Came back a couple of hours later: dead. Was plugged in. Won’t do anything. Power in is good. Tried all four usb-c ports. Tried power button 20 secs, cmd opt p r, shift cmd opt then power button. Nothing. Anything else I can do from the outside?

To be clear: no screen, no lights, no sounds: dead! I imagine a long trip in a dark box is in order........
I'd recommend either booting into recovery mode or trying a SMC rest. If that does not work, contact apple.

How to enter recovery mode:
Command (⌘)-R: Start up from the built-in macOS Recovery system.
