Iphone 12 pro max camera green lines

Anybody here experienced thin green lines horizontally when opening back camera of an Iphone 12 Pro Max? If I try to restart, it will go away but after a day or hours, the green lines will show again.

Even if you try to capture or record the screen, it will record also the green lines.

I did HAVE the same problem and it was resolved today by performing a reset. Settings, General, Reset, Reset all Settings.

Erasing and restoring from backup is not needed, and might restore any unwanted sensor recalibration settings. I believe what happens is the camera retains calibration settings that are extreme, such as when the iPhone is laid down on a table while the camera is active, and then the camera seems to adjust an exposure calibration setting that is retained afterward. All sensors are inherently different, especially when it comes to signal noise, and must be calibrated, and it seems iPhone adjusts these calibration presets over time as the sensor ages and may be adjusting at the worst possible moment. I will wait a few days to allow normal use, then update if I can reproduce this calibration problem later.

I have the exact same issue here.

iPhone 12 Pro Max 256GB Blue. running iOS 14.3

Night mode, only with the main camera, the exact same behavior of previous screenshots.

Restarting the phone solved the issue.

Since restarting the phone solved it, this leads me to believe this is a software issue, so let's hope Apple solves this soon.

I’m betting it will come back unfortunately. Mine has had the lines since the day the phone came out and I’ve tried everything including what u said. It always comes back after a couple days. Sounds like this is a huge prob w all 12 pro phones. I couldn’t even return mine back when i had the 14 day return policy bc apple wasn’t letting people come in without appointments and I couldn’t get in before the 14 day return policy was expired. Then they wanted me to make an appointment to have it. I just haven’t had the time to go in. They also said that if they decided it needed to be replaced that I would be without a phone for couple days and that is not an option for me as All my business is handled on my phone.

All I wanted to do was go in and return the phone when I was able to and get a new one and they said bc of covid I couldn’t do a walk in and the first available appointment was after the return policy timeline ended.

I am not happy about this at all. Apple needs to replace all these damaged phones. They know it’s an issue that can’t be fixed but they want to give u the run around hoping u go away. First time I’ve ever had an issue w Apple and it’s a big deal that I am very unhappy with.

Have encountered the same problem here!

Those lights just came out when shooting dark scenes and as I experimented on gradually increasing the light the camera captured, those lights disappeared when the camera figured it was bright enough.

I am planning to take it to the Apple Store where I bought it and see if there's any advice. Will update soon!
