Delete old Apple Watch backups

I have just purchased my 3rd Apple Watch and when I set it up I noticed old backups from my original Apple Watch and my series 3. Is there anyway to get rid of these old backups?

Hi there, anypats.

Congratulations on your new Apple Watch!

It appears that you're seeing backups from your first Apple Watch and you'd like to remove them, and we're glad to help with this.

Back up your Apple Watch - Apple Support -- The backups for your Apple Watch are included in your paired iPhone backups. You'd need to delete the iPhone backup to accomplish this.

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support -- Before deleting any backups, it would be a good idea to unpair your new Apple Watch from your iPhone, then back up your iPhone and pair your Apple Watch again. If you back up to a computer, you can select “Back up all of the data on your iPhone to this Mac (or computer)."

Take care.
