documents stored in iCloud
I can't open my documents since they were stored in iCloud, either in Excel nor Word.
I work with a iMac version 11.0.1
What should I do?
Thanks a lot for helping !

Hi Paul,
Thank you for taking care of my question and sorry I couldn't see your Answer before.
My Microsoft Version for Mac is 16.43. Maybe its an old one, but till recently (before the upgrade to macOS Big Sur) it was working very well.
After this upgrade I've realised all the documents I had in my computer were moved into iCloud. I'm afraid I might lose control of them. This upgrade makes the opening of each doc. very slow or imposible. With this upgrade I've even lost my Printer, its not supported anymore.
What I want to know is whether I can take all my documents out of iCloud and keep them in my computer. I make keep copies in an extra hard disk, so I don't think I also need iCloud
Thank you for any suggestion.
Alicia
Alicia, Those are the versions that I have. And I have a Microsoft365 subscription. If you went for the one time purchase you have the most recent version .
Paul
Which version of Microsoft Office do you have? Have you tried copying an excel file to your downloads folder and tried opening it from there? Can you create a new document in Excel or Word?
Paul
Big Sur requires Office for Mac 2019 or a subscription to Office 365 if you want to continue using Office for Mac.
