Is there a way to change settings to distinguish between headphones and Bluetooth speakers? And if not shouldn’t there soon be such an option? Kind of a buzzkill when Apple turns down my room speaker when I’m 20 feet away from it.

The audio noise notifications where my phone plays big brother and turns down my speakers if annoying AF. Is there anyway to indicate a Bluetooth device isn’t in-ear?

Hello mickellea,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

We understand that you would like a different setting for Bluetooth speakers and headphones on your iPhone. Currently there is only one setting for audio devices, since the iPhone will only play output to one audio device at a time. If you would like to request a new feature or function, you can submit feedback here: Product Feedback - Apple
