I’m not sure if my son changed a setting on my phone but the only time that I am able to get Internet maps or anything is when there is a guest Wi-Fi available or I am at home. I have already tried to reset my network settings and a lot of the general four or five options that the Internet gave me Apple iPhone 6s Plus

That actually sounds like you are not connecting to cellular data.
Make sure that you do not have Cellular Data shut off in Settings -> Cellular.
If you do not, check with your cellular carrier as they may have your account misconfigured.
