for the magic keyboard for iPad do the keys change color besides white. It it a expensive keyboard

Has anyone had issues with the magic keyboard and their ipad? I am finding that the magic keyboard highlights certain things in blue and i have no idea why. It even prevents me from typing when it does that also. It is frustrating and i would appreciate any guidance. Thanks!
