3rd Gen apple TV, Model A1649 trouble shooting for the error message " Either HDMI isn't connected or your HDMI connection doesn't support HDCP. Please reconnect etc" My HDTV is about 4 years old.Anybody HELP !

Hi I have a 3rd Gen Apple TV MODEL A1469, about 6 years old. I have tried all given trouble shooting for the error message " Either HDMI isn't connected or your HDMI connection doesn't support HDCP. Please reconnect etc", to NO AVAIL.

My HDTV is about 4 years old. Apple TV is not getting a Bluetooth connection. Do these HDMI cords burn out after awhile? Can anyone help me make this error message go away so I can watch Netflix Canada again ? I'm an old guy and exhausted on this issue. Thanks most kindly to any attention that you can offer me. Anywhere from $9 to $30 or $40 depending on branding.

You can probably get away with a $12 or $15 one just fine for a 3rd gen Apple TV.

Bluetooth would have nothing to do with this. FYI: the 3rd gen only supports BT keyboards

The first thing to do is disconnect the cable and reinsert, making sure it is a secure connection

Yes, HDMI cables can cause issues over time. In order to verify I would recommend trying another HDMI cable

Also make sure you have tried all ports on the TV

Lastly, test on another TV
